The British Fashion Awards were held in London earlier this week and lots of familiar, fashionable faces came out to play.
There were Dames and creators and model moms about.
Christopher Bailey took home the Designer of the Year for 2009. Not surprising, given his stellar collections of late. Bailey has plans to show his Prorsum Burberry women’s collection during London Fashion Week in February.

There was definitely a goth girl thing going on, as my friend Yuli pointed out.
I think the boys got in on the act, too.

Karen Elson, however, went all red for the occasion – one of the colours for Fall that doesn’t seem to actually be in stores on people’s backs. [But then again, she is all about colour these days.]

There were lots of fashion fams around. Georgia May Jagger received the Model of the Year award and model mom, Jerry Hall was there to show off her proud pose.

Simon Le Bon also brought his Girls on Film on each arm – wife and model, Yasmin and aspiring model daughter, Amber.

Mademoiselle Roitfeld was also there, but not avec her maman, but avec a very cute arm accessory.

And then there were the greater than greats. Kate Moss received the award for Style Icon from none other than Dame Westwood.
Aunty Viv can wear anything – layers of nothing – and she still works it.

Loved this video of Viv talking about Kate outside the show. If you can’t hear it, Grazia Daily has the transcript.
