The Women of the Shoes

“I have heard the mermaids singing each to each. I do not think that they will sing to me…”

These ladies could have very well been Eliot’s inspiration, in another time.

There they sit, in St. Tropez awaiting Chanel’s collection (or afterwards, perhaps).

We gaze at the perfection that adorns their feet.

Strapped for words, we just sigh in envy.

They are the women of the shoes.

Quote from The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T. S. Eliot. If you have not read that poem yet in this life, it is an experience to be had.
