Déjà Vu: Intrenched in Thought

There is the typical trench, the piped trench (my current obsession), and then there is the thinking woman’s trench. It works – because well, you do – but still has a dash of drama because well, you are a femme who fancies a little femininity.

Sometimes you need to escape the trenches and enjoy the breeze - Jason Wu's embroidered cape for PF12.

My déjà vu means I need two trenches for the fashion season just before actual Fall. I actually fell for them both.

And incidentally, while we are speaking of embellished capes, I have not forgotten Lee McQueen’s zardozi-encrusted and buckled, asymmetrical wool cape from his last collection (I think it was PF10 but it could have been FW10). I haven’t been able to find a picture of it and regret not buying it on Old Bond Street, last year.

You could say Lee and I had a bond. That cape will find its way to me one of these days, if I am meant to wear it.
