Jacquie “Tajah” Murdock is the latest face to grace a Lanvin ad campaign.
The 82-year old aspiring model was first discovered a couple of years ago by Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style, who worked with the French house to cast their AW12 campaign.
After years of far-out fashion figures, real people are in this season. Look for more real faces in Lanvin ads this fall.
Brands like Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier and Yohji Yamamoto have always mixed models with people of all creeds that have style cred (and had style cred well before street style blogs came to be).
It’s about time fashion faced fact$. Buyers come in all shapes, sizes, colours and vintages.
Bravo, Ms. Murdock – for realizing your lifelong dream. May you make it to Paris, at last.
