Was this little rhyme playing in the minds of these movie darlings, this week?
Things certainly seemed to be in bloom, despite the unpredictable September winds that blew through the city.
Alicia Vikander shows us that you can be ladylike and downright sexy in a billowy long gown. She shone in strapless Erdem.Carice van Houten carried couture with a flourish – Dior Couture. Two London darlings walked off with one of the best looks of the Fest – Keira Knightley in Mary Katrantzou. The right amount of fit and the right amount of flare.Juliette Lewis in a fitted navy and red blooming number – she was another Fest fashion front-runner.Naomie Harris did frou in the best way possible……her Marchesa was complemented by glowing makeup, simple jewels and a sleek bun.Liane Balaban turned heads in her floral-bodiced Lucian Matis gown. She wore another Lucian Matis print earlier, which reminded me of the mosaics in Gaudi Park.Olivia Wilde tamed her floral bottoms with a coordinating easy breezy jacket. The print and colour recalled Erdem’s garden, which is worth a second visit, for quiet reflection.
