CITY: London, UK
VENUE: Victoria and Albert Museum
WHY YOU SHOULD SEE IT: This is an exhibition I told you about back in 2009, when the Museum was building a database of online images. Not only does it feature wedding attire from the 18th century onwards, as worn by both the famous and infamous, but the V&A asked real people to submit their wedding photos online.
PLUS: Make a day of it – the Horst: Photographer of Style exhibition opens at the V&A on September 6th. Also, don’t forget to book your ticket now for Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’s London run, which opens March, 2015. I booked my ticket months ago. Trust me on this one – the queues will be longer than the lengthy wait for this second installment of the fashion exhibition that changed the way museums think about fashion as art.
LOGISTICS: Full details on the V&A’s website.
